Excellent product that functions flawlessly.
I purchased this product to replace on older Marine Air unit in my Silverton 34C. The installation went very well, with all necessary items included in package. It work very well and the digital controller is easy to use, alternating between cool, heat and fan smoothly. I would recommend the unit without hesitation.

It works well but I've had to replace it a three times in the 11 yrs I've had my boat. I'd probably try another brand at this point but this fits the footprint properly.

perfect replacement unit, little smaller footprint than the old unit from 1991 so it fit easily in the same spot. hook up water in, water out, duct work, wire it up and magic cold air appear

Not a perfect fit.
Was not a perfect mechanical fit for the old unit. The controller was also different and required rewiring and replacing the controller. But the unit seems high quality for example tray water basin is stainless steel which we like.

Is the control panel the same as the original - could I use original control panel and cable with this or does it need to be replaced with the one that comes with it?
Your warranty would require using the new controller it comes with versus trying to run it on the old controller.

Can the setup be changed? Can the blower vent go on the opposite side?

Under the Key Benefits, you will notice that the blower is reversable. However, the blower is reversable horizontal or vertical, not side to side. Ok, so your have to use the new control panel with the install...is the wire / plug compatible between old & new panels ...change to new panel use old wire or do you need to run a new wire to the new panel?
You have to use the new wire. If I remember correctly the plug is different so they are not interchangeable. I just paralleled the old with the new.

The blower cannot be rotated 180 and blow horizontal toward the compressor side? If that’s true, can the unit work ok with the return vent on the side of the blower? I’m replacing a MarvAir SeaMach. This unit is a mirror image of the SeaMach.
not sure what you a asking - the fan can not be rotated as I understand but the elbow on the outflow side of the fan can be rotated as per instructions for the equipment
