Replaced Twice in Less than 1.5 Years
Our boat had this exact unit aboard when we purchased her in 2023. That unit (unit #1) had a consistent leak, but we chose to live with it for a few months before we replaced it. The unit we bought (unit #2) lasted for almost a year but then it also developed an internal leak, so we contacted the manufacturer and they kindly replaced that unit with what would be the third Seaward Marine Water Heater (unit #3).
To their credit, they didn't charge me for the third unit, for shipping it to me, or for returning the malfunctioning unit. They told me they would dig into the issue and get back to me to let me know why the nearly new water heater failed, but I never heard from them again. Of course, I was never compensated for the time and expense of replacing units #2 or #3.
Unit #3 lasted just a few months before it also developed an internal leak. We lived with that leak for a few months, but decided to abandon the idea of using another Seaward water heater and replaced it with a different brand built by a different company.
Because of our experiences with three failed Seaward Marine Water Heaters, I cannot recommend it for your boat. In fact, I recommend that you avoid the product unless and until the company is able to determine why it failed so quickly.

Exact Replacement — Next Day Delivery
The unit arrived in just one day, as promised, and was an exact replacement for the approximately 20-year-old (a guess, since we've only owned the boat for about 18 months). I'm sorry I don't remember the brand of the previous one, but this company apparently bought the brand and kept everything the same. Simple to install and it works like a champ.

Water heater
I bought this to replace the unit I have had for over 15 years. Glad it is made to the same size and connections.
