UPS can track a package by its reference number (rather than a UPS tracking number). This reference number is the Defender Order Number you received in your order shipment confirmation email.

When you ship a package using any UPS OnLine or compatible shipping system, this reference number is recorded along with other vital information, so you can use it instead of the UPS tracking number to track the package, check on delivery status or call up shipping details.

Narrowing Your Search
More than one shipper may use a particular purchase order number or the phrase "10 damaged widgets" as a reference. When you track by reference number, you can narrow the search for your particular package using these additional qualifiers:

Destination Country
You can enter the destination country by selecting it from the drop-down list.

Date Range
By entering more restrictive from and to dates, you narrow the search to the dates closer to your shipment. The default is 30 days before today's date.
