Orders placed before 4pm Eastern Time Monday – Friday will be processed the same business day. Excludes truck shipments and boats and motors.

UP FRONT SHIPPING
We charge all shipping up front, with few exceptions, so you aren’t penalized for any separate shipments due to back orders or drop shipped items.

We ship UPS, Fed Ex, USPS, and Truck. APO, FPO, or PO Box addresses must go USPS. Call for international pricing.

SAVE ON SHIPPING!
You can save on shipping by having your order shipped to a commercial address (for example, your place of business, a marina, local store, or most commercial establishments). By sending your package to a commercial address, your delivery is more secure as it is signed for and not exposed to weather conditions. Whether you chose standard service or expedited delivery to a commercial address, you will save the residential fee of $1.95, even more on expedited and truck shipments.

Shipping Policies

DETERMINING SHIPPING WEIGHT:
Actual, dimensional, or minimum package weights may be used to determine the charge for a shipment.

DIMENSIONAL WEIGHT:Dimensional Weight
Dimensional weight applies to both Ground and Air Shipments. Dimensional weight is calculated by multiplying the length, width and height in inches of the package and dividing by the numbers below based on service.
For domestic expedited shipments:
divide by 194. (L X W X H)/194
For international shipments:
divide by 166. (L X W X H )/166)
For ground shipments: packages in which
dimensions exceed 5184 cubic inches,
divide by 194. (L X W X H >5184/194)

ADDITIONAL HANDLING FEES CHARGED BY PARCEL CARRIERS:
Items with irregular packaging, where the outside container is wood or metal, or any article not encased in a corrugated container, or any package exceeding 60” in length incur a $6.50 charge.

A package is considered a "Large Package" when its length plus girth (2 X Width) + (2 X Height) combined exceeds 130 inches, but does not exceed the maximum UPS size of 165 inches.

Large Packages are subject to a minimum billable weight of 90 pounds. A Large Package Surcharge of $45.00 will apply. An Additional Handling charge will not be assessed when a Large package Surcharge is applied.

Insurance is required for the total value of each shipment. Add .90 for each $100 value or part thereof above the first $100.

Most carriers impose a fee for delivery to rural addresses.
$2.30 for residential, $1.50 for commercial.

Hazardous items (HazMat) incur a $20 fee per box and ship via ground (Ground Shipment) only.

OTHER SHIPPING INFORMATION:

  • Shipments over $2500 require a signature for delivery.
  • You may request a shipping method other than Defender's standard service, however, the shipping and handling rates charged may be higher than our standard rates published here.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable. If you choose to use your own carrier account,there is a $5.00 handling fee for each parcel or $25.00 per truck shipment.
  • Shipping information pertains to domestic shipping. International shipping is available - just ask!


    • HAZARDOUS MATERIALS:
    The symbol HazMat indicates that a product, when shipped, must be packaged and labeled as a Hazardous Material (HazMat). Special packaging is required for all HazMat items and they incur a $20.00 shipping fee imposed by the carrier. All HazMat packages ship via Ground Service only. Additional regulations may apply without notice.

    INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
    There may be duties and taxes (VAT or other non-shipping charges incurred in the destination country) imposed on your order that aren't reflected in our prices. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Check with your local Customs office for those charges. In addition, some countries may charge an additional handling fee for delivery within that country.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
    • We generally charge all shipping related fees for the complete order at the time of the first shipment.
      With few exceptions, no additional delivery fees are charged for back ordered items when shipped.

    • Final shipping costs are calculated per package and are determined by actual or dimensional weight, destinations, contents and carrier service.

    • UPS applies a $2.30 surcharge to deliver packages to rural residential addresses and $1.40 to rural commercial addresses.
