    NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    This position requires application of knowledge of established procedures, policies and best practices.
    Must act as an escalation point for Tier2 to deal with any issue when required.

    Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of complex enterprise security device incidents
    Work with Design Engineer, Project Engineer and Project Manager on customer transition, implementation, or transformation projects.

    Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on customer security products and services.
    Must understand how proposed architectural changes will impact the business and be able to articulate outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.

    Will have responsibility of taking ownership of assigned tasks, resolve tasks within assigned shift or correctly transition incident to oncoming shift if not resolved, track task to resolution.
    Work with enterprise security device vendors to resolve complex incidents, replace defective hardware, and receive software patches/fixes to resolve incidents.

    Assess vendor vulnerability reports against existing customer devices. Work with customer to implement mitigation activities if required.
    Assist Tier2 engineers with or perform troubleshooting, configuration, replacement, updating or installation of enterprise security devices.

    Create, distribute, analyze and evaluate network management performance reports to requestor. Perform in-depth research of assigned problems to identify resolution options, document options, select best option, and present information to customer and implement approved resolution.  Create and present Root Cause Analysis (RCA) document when requested. Participate in audit and compliance assessments performed internally, by external vendors or by customer audit teams.

    Perform other duties as required.
    This is a non-exempt position and is subject to occasional overtime. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Ability to multitask, prioritize and resolve urgent issues.
    Must have excellent understanding and knowledge of enterprise firewall functionality. This includes but is not limited to: Sonicwall NSA devices, Cisco (PIX/FWSM/ASA), etc.
    Must have advanced understanding of Change Management tools. This includes but is not limited to: ITIL based CSM, etc.

    Experience working in 24x7 centers with complex, mission-critical, high transaction, high availability environments. Advanced understanding of networking technologies, e.g. routers, switches, routing protocols, etc..
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Must have enhanced Linux/Unix skills with desired daily administration experience in Tomcat/Apache.  Must have enhanced VMWare 5.5 administration and setup experience.
    At least 3 years’ experience working with TCP/IP, Ethernet networks and troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, trace, etc.)  An advanced understanding of Internet protocols such as UDP, ICMP, DNS, SMTP, POP, HTTP, and SNMP

    Extensive and hands on experience with both physical and network/host level security.  Ideal candidate will have understanding of industry trends in all areas of Information Security.  Ideal candidate will have a strong, multi-discipline, operations background with emphasis on supporting business critical environments 

    DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • CISSP Information Security certification
    • Security + (301)
    • Sonicwall NSA device configuration
    • ITIL 3 certification
    • Microsoft Enterprise Administrator
    • Linux/Unix (AIX) Configuration and Administration
    • SQL 2008R2 Server Configuration and Administration
    • VMWare 5.5 and VEEAM platform
    • College degree preferred

    MARINE SERVICE TECHNICIAN

    General Summary:
    In addition to boat and outboard service, this individual will work with others for after sales support and be available to assist in the carrying out of miscellaneous duties as outlined, but not limited to the outline below.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and assist in organization of service area
    • Inspection of boats and motors as they are received
    • Troubleshoot and repair boats & engines for customers and dealer stock under warranty
       (Or not under warranty)
    • Produce proper paperwork for paid repairs and submit warranty claims including follow up and
      customer contact
    • Run engines that require PDI’s before delivery for customers
    • Set up trailers to match boats
    • Assist with Rigging jobs when required
    • Handle service inquiries in the store, on the phone or in person
    • Answer employee questions from call center and the store
    • Go to various schooling as required for certification purposes to learn more about the
      product and mechanics when and if offered
    • Assist in store retail sales if needed
    • Work Saturdays during busy season as required
    • Miscellaneous duties as needed to help Defender achieve their mission statement,
      (Warehouse sale, boat shows) which may mean being “lent” to another department, or
      Extended hours during the busy season

    Required Knowledge and Skills:
    Entry level:

    • Ability to follow procedure with attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
    • Knowledge of safety procedures
    • Knowledge of material moving including but not limited to, forklift operation
    • Knowledge of small outboard mechanics

    Advanced:

    • Knowledge of Inflatable boats
    • Knowledge of inflatable boat repair

    Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, boating experience needed.
