    ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

    Accounts Payable Specialist – 76 year old debt free marine supplier is looking for a dynamic individual to join our accounting team.     General Summary:  Full Time- Position is responsible for A/P and reporting to the Accounting Supervisor on various projects related to Accounts Payable. 

    Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Matches invoice/packing slip/purchase order
    • Code invoices with proper General Ledger codes
    • Enter a high volume of invoices on a computerized accounting system
    • Heavy vendor/internal follow up of order/invoice discrepancies
    • Researches past due credits / call vendors to collect
    • Prepares all work accurately and in a timely manner

    Miscellaneous Duties

    • Helps with various accounting projects as needed
    • Helps with various company projects as needed

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable
    • Excellent communication and organization skills
    • Strong written and verbal skills, ability to use adding machine/calculator
    • Ability to prioritize and work as a team member
    • Software knowledge:  Excel, Word

    MANAGER OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Manager of Information Technology has full responsibility for planning, directing, organizing and supervising Information Technology activities and staff, including LAN/WAN, Desktops and Servers, Hosted Operations, Help Desk activities, telephone system and overall IT infrastructure and architecture.  Implements and maintains effective processes and controls for daily operation of the areas as assigned.

    Other responsibilities of the Management role include:

    • Proactively recognize problems in need of a solution and systems in need of development and demonstrate creativity to develop feasible, cost effective solutions to the problems.
    • Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT technology and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data processing while striving for enhanced user productivity and management of IT costs.  Implement new software technology where applicable, and implement policies that effectively utilize IT resources.
    • Prepare long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them.
    • Proactively stay abreast of and ensure compliance with legal requirements, regulation changes and industry practices including those related to industry security requirements and guidelines.
    • Build and maintain a hardware, software and network infrastructure that meets the requirements of the business and users, is highly reliable and available, with an appropriate level of redundancy within the budgetary constraints of the business.
    • Plan, develop and implement the IT budget.
    • Lead teams and individually coordinate the implementation of projects to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within the allocated budget.
    • Manage all software licensing for the site and ensure compliance with laws and supplier agreements and safeguard software media.
    • Develop, implement and test backup and disaster recovery plans.
    • Implement security architecture as needed to prevent unauthorized access, change or destruction of critical or sensitive data.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of training and career development programs within the IT department

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    As a Manager of Information Technology you must have the ability to identify, translate and clearly communicate ideas, creative needs and assessments of projects to clients and internal staff. You must have the ability to communicate effectively including producing written reports and oral presentations

    Other requirements of the management role include:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • SQL administration a must
    • AIX and Linux administration a must
    • At least 7 years of experience in a hands-on IT environment.
    • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
    • Experience developing policies, procedures, and documentation governing best practices for operating an effective IT function.
    • Experience in the development, rollout and support of desktop application packages including: Windows professional, Microsoft office professional, essential support software including anti-virus, encryption, via GPO policies, etc.
    • Technical expertise and working knowledge of the following tools: LAN / WAN security and communications, Cisco switches, SonicWALL firewalls, VMWare (full-suite w/SAN integration), Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Server applications and functionality including Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, iSCSI storage area networks.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and an ability to communicate the highly technical aspects of the IT field for understanding by non-technical professionals.
    • Must be team oriented and able to lead and direct members of the IT team.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Willingness to be an active, working manager. Available as necessary during off hours to resolve issues
