A good replacement lamp for older fixtures
I upgraded fixtures to these bulbs from the earlier generation of disk-shaped circuit board lamps which relied on an ill-conceived adhesive velcro system to keep the chips off of the lens. Provided that the fixture has a good internal reflector, even though many of the chips will be facing away from the lens efficiency should be reasonably good. Light is bright and even (as opposed to the previous type), and the 3000k color is warm enough to emulate a halogen lamp.
