Great winch but broken on arrival
While I like the Harken winch, mine was damage right of the box and I had to deal with Harken directly as Defender wouldn't take back this one. It seems odd that they wouldn't just replace it since it was brand new and I purchased it less than a few weeks ago.
One of the pawls was jammed inside and I couldn't remove it to try and fix it. Fortunately, Harken said to send it to them so now I am another couple of weeks out from getting this resolved.
I still think Defender is a good place to order things, just bad luck for me on this one.
