Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3rd one this is at least my third Sea Teak rail mount. Each on different sail boat. They are strong, well designed and last for years with a little care.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad design Very poorly designed. The bolt head side is recessed, but the nut end is not! Good luck mounting your outboard with 4 bolts sticking out one side. I drilled a recess with a Forstner bit to have a flat bottomed hole and hacked off the bolts so they didn't protrude. Then, when I mounted on my 1" rail, I found it rattled around after completely tightening and realized the drilled channel is actually 1/8" bigger than 1". I solved this problem by removing the bracket, wrapping the rail with some rings of butyl tape and remounting. It would have also been better to include Nyloc nuts; I used Loctite to ensure the nuts don't come loose. Too much work to get a good install.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not recommended Literally broke in my hands. A lot of complaints about splitting along the grain.
