Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong hanks Still in their first season, these hanks are heavy duty enough for my 21 footer's jib. Brass crimped easily to securely attach. The design attaches to the forestay quickly.

Questions

Is there an official/proper installation of this in the tack grommet of a sail? What tool do you use: pliers, hammer or a non-metal mallet to install them? Also, should you close it as far as possible, or is there a measurement between the tab & base?
