Green Marine Fuel Whistle

The Green Marine Fuel Whistle is a unique and simple device to stop the inadvertent spilling of fuel into our waterways. Easily installed in most boats, the Fuel Whistle is inserted into the fuel tank vent line. During the fueling process an audible whistle is produced as air escapes. When the tank becomes full, the whistling stops, giving warning to stop the filling BEFORE any fuel spills.

Installation: The 5/8" fuel vent line is cut near the fuel tank and the "Fuel Whistle" is inserted into the vent line and clamped (clamps included). The "Fuel Whistle" needs to be oriented within 45 degrees of vertical to allow for proper drainage should fuel pass through it. It can be held in place with 2 stainless steel screws (included) inserted into the molded mounting ears to secure the correct orientation.

How It Works:

• While the tank is being filled a whistling sound is produced by the Fuel Whistle
  • The sound is loud enough to be heard from any point on the boat
• It will be audible in a strong breeze or with any normal surrounding sounds
• As the tank approaches full, the sound turns to a warble and when completely full it immediately stops
  • This is the signal to stop the fueling process before any spill occurs
