    Dinghy Anchor Kits

Anchor systems for inflatable boats and dinghies make mooring or sticking to the beach a breeze. Defenders' dingy anchor kits are easy to keep on board your small boat - all parts you need are stowed in a bag and fit easily onboard. Anchor kits for small dinghies and small crafts feature guardian or grapnel-style anchors, lines, and chains.

Anchors are heavy, won't it slow my tender down?

Boat anchors can be heavy, even dinghy anchors too or they wouldn't do their job. Depending on the size of your tender, anchor systems and anchor kits from Defender only run 4 to 6 pounds total including line. Having the whole anchor kit - line, chain (optional), shackle, and anchor all in a handy bag can help organize your boat until it is needed.

Open up a new world of possibilities

Adding an inflatable anchor system to your dinghy or tender means dropping anchor and staying put on the beach, near a favorite swimming spot, or just outside the breakers. Imagine a tender anchor that will keep your little boat just within swimming distance to serve as a resting spot for active kids. A dinghy anchor system opens up many possibilities for how you will use your tender!

Do I need a chain for such a small boat?

The larger the dinghy the more staying power you will need. A little bit of chain included in an anchor system is a good idea but not a necessity. Keep an eye out for coated chains to protect your inflatable but what is more important is the option for length of rope. The rope will determine where you might moor your tender.
