BOATS & MOTORS SALES & SERVICE SUPPORT REP

The incumbent will perform a variety of functions as a member of the Boats & Motors Team, including general office tasks, inter-departmental support, customer and vendor correspondence, and contributing to department workflow. Entry level position with room to grow, the department focuses on Inflatable Boat and Outboard Motor sales and service while contributing to the overall success of the company.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with customers, Sales & Service department and vendors, and maintain good working relationships
  • Provide quotes to customers via e-mail and phone
  • Answer e-mail inquiries from customers, providing both accurate information and pricing
  • Enter orders into computer system / process sales
  • Monitor manufacturer service bulletins
  • Register new product to end users for warranty coverage
  • Accurately submit warranty claims with proper documentation; follow up on payment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Marine / boating experience helpful; prior marina / dealership / boatyard experience beneficial
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, Microsoft Picture Manager), Internet Explorer and Chrome
  • Internal / external customer service experience
  • Purchasing experience a plus, but not necessary
  • High level of reliability and attention to detail with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize independently while balancing a level of efficiency
  • Ability to navigate frequent interruptions without sacrificing quality of work, while maintaining a positive attitude

DATA ANALYST

In this critical IT role, you will conduct full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. You will develop analysis and reporting capabilities while monitoring performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Design and maintain data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems. Mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganize said data in a format that can be easily read by either human or computer

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or equivalent related education
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and research methods
  • Strong SQL and database background with the ability to learn other analytical tools.
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Crystal Reports, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, .NET)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS, R, MS Access, etc.)
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the Warehouse outbound/inbound operations, including: effective and efficient order selecting; packing; receiving; put away; shipping of product; orders; documenting activities; and, training of staff. In this position you’ll work one weekend day and 4 days during workweek

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively manage subordinates to ensure they achieve production and accuracy expectations
  • Ensure all packing and shipping are in compliance with all carrier specific and DOT requirements
  • Evaluate staffing needs and adjust accordingly to maximize productivity, maintain on time shipments, and reduce overtime
  • Ensure the warehouse operates within the staffing plan by analyzing operating metrics and monitoring labor scheduling, operating procedures
  • Assist with the selection, training, promotion, reassignment or recommendation of termination for warehouse personnel
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with subordinates to review operation effectiveness and plan for continuous improvement, and documents results
  • Counsel and coach subordinates
  • Provide New Employee Orientation
  • Minimize mark-outs, operational errors and damage problems
  • Effectively communicate operational objectives and develop goals to attain desired results
  • Develop and maintain productive teamwork among all employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferable
  • 5+ years' warehousing and supervisory experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required; effective skills in conflict resolution needed
  • Accuracy and timeliness are critical; must be able to work with frequent interruptions
  • Computer and data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office; server based WMS and ERP system experience required
  • Knowledge of warehousing and shipping functions required; understands warehouse equipment operations and systems

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

The ideal candidate will provide technical and administrative support for all our servers, pcs, and network systems using a variety of application software including Windows and Linux; maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the systems and users' utilization of them; and, provide written documentation which evaluates LAN information on periodic intervals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in providing computer/systems support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users
  • Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users
  • Monitor and evaluate efficiency of software/hardware usage, providing items to be covered in training of users, making them more efficient
  • Install new software applications or hardware on the LAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary
  • Add and maintain users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security and that configurations are within standards
  • Assist in installation of workstations and printers and other peripherals on the LAN
  • Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed
  • Provide monthly documentation which defines upcoming needs of systems which would require purchase of additional hardware or software
  • Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance on a monthly basis
  • Utilize technology to provide staff with a fast, accurate and secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the customer in the fastest and most efficient manner possible
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory and VMWare environment
  • Ensure all security and update patches are applied to all servers
  • Monitor load balance on servers and make recommendations accordingly

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree plus 2-3 years' experience in a client/server environment. (Additional and/or equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • Experience troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, portable handheld terminals, laptops, tablets
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Laser & Zebra printers
  • Inventory management skills
  • Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, Wireless, IP security camera experience
  • Experience in hybrid Windows/Linux environment a plus
  • VMWare knowledge and experience a plus
  • Network/security certifications a plus
