DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR / WEB DEVELOPER


You'll be responsible for administration and maintenance of existing databases while providing Microsoft SQL Server and Access support to the ecommerce department. This assistance will include custom data retrieval and maintenance of existing databases and forms used in day-to-day web data processing. Additionally, this role will provide web programming and content management, and develop, troubleshoot and improve existing code and automated scripts.

You will:

  • Use Microsoft SQL Management Studio to update and maintain web ERP databases
  • Build and maintain Microsoft Access forms and databases
  • Use Microsoft SQL Management Studio to enhance data-access; interface with SQL databases using Microsoft Access
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing Java and .NET web applications
  • Maintain pricing integrity
  • Maintain and continually update search functionality
  • Build and maintain database tools that help to push product live and manage our marketing efforts
  • Generate and compile sales reports and other business metrics

Qualifications:

  • Database experience with Microsoft SQL Server/Access
  • Minimum 2 years' web application development and database administration
  • Experience working with a large ecommerce website with product catalog greater than 15,000 items
  • Experience programming in Java/JSP, HTML5/CSS3/Javascript and, .NET/C# (Webforms)

You must demonstrate:

  • Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them
  • Good understanding of SEO principles to ensure that our applications adhere to such principles
  • Excellent knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques

WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS COORDINATOR


Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the WH inbound/outbound operations. The focus of this position is to monitor and control WH inventory by overseeing, directing, and coordinating the movement of supplies, paperwork, products, and merchandise into and out of the WH. This position is on 2nd shift, Monday - Friday (3PM - 1130PM)

You will:

  • Effectively manage non-exempt WH employees to ensure they achieve production and accuracy expectations.
  • Ensure all packing and shipping is compliant with all carrier specific and DOT requirements.
  • Resolve any discrepancies between paperwork and inventory received.
  • Ensure the warehouse operates within the staffing plan by analyzing operating metrics/procedures and monitoring labor scheduling. Assist with the selection, training, promotion, reassignment, etc., of warehouse personnel.
  • Act as liaison with warehouse operations and all our carriers.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries as well as overseeing and assisting with the loading and unloading of these deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain productive teamwork among all employees; counsel and coach subordinates; and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Minimize mark-outs, operational errors, and damage problems.
  • Effectively communicate operational objectives and develop goals to attain desired results.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Work History

  • High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferable.
  • 3+ years warehousing experience required, supervisory experience a plus.
  • Computer, data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office; server-based WMS and ERP system experience required.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and shipping functions required; understands warehouse equipment operations and systems.

Job Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required; effective skills in conflict resolution needed.
  • Accuracy and timeliness are critical; must be able to work with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, neatness, good communication skills, ability to prioritize/organize, and flexibility are critical to effectively perform this job.
