The ideal candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the warehouse outbound/inbound operations, including: effective and efficient order selecting; packing; receiving; put away; shipping of product; orders; documenting activities; and, training of staff. In this position you'll work Saturday & Sunday and 3 days during workweek, with two consecutive days off.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage subordinates to ensure they achieve production and accuracy expectations
  • Ensure all packing and shipping is in compliance with all carrier specific and DOT requirements
  • Evaluate staffing needs and adjust accordingly to maximize productivity, maintain on time shipments, and reduce overtime
  • Ensure the warehouse operates within the staffing plan by analyzing operating metrics and monitoring labor scheduling, operating procedures. Assist with the selection, training, promotion, reassignment or recommendation of termination for warehouse personnel
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with subordinates to review operation effectiveness and plan for continuous improvement, and document results
  • Counsel and coach subordinates
  • Provide New Employee Orientation
  • Minimize mark-outs, operational errors and damage problems
  • Effectively communicate operational objectives and develop goals to attain desired results
  • Develop and maintain productive teamwork amongst all employees

Qualifications & Job Skills:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferable
  • 5+ years warehousing and supervisory experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required; effective skills in conflict resolution needed
  • Accuracy and timeliness are critical; must be able to work with frequent interruptions
  • Computer and data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office; server based WMS and ERP system experience required
  • Knowledge of warehousing and shipping functions required; understands warehouse equipment operations and systems
