Lewmar design issues
We had some old hatch farmes that needed replacing. While the new product is excellent with no issues, I cant get the design. The lens frame is connected by two aluminium batons that in the old frame had done a beautiful job of corroding and snapping off, requiring replacement of the whole frame body. I just don't get why they couldn't design a male and female frame connection that doesnt require use of the batons. One thing I would suggest to mitigate this issue is to tefgel (or similar) the batons and screws holding the two frames together. While these are greased on the new ones, I don't think they will last with consistent ocean use.
