WoodChart's beautiful map of Cape May is a 3-D nautical wood map featuring this seaside resort drawing visitors from around the world to the New Jersey Shore. Cape May boasts a rich history, award-winning beaches, and many examples of Victorian architecture. In addition, Cape May has been designated as a top bird-watching location. Cape May also was recognized as one of America's Top 10 beaches by the Travel Channel and its beach was ranked fifth in New Jersey in the 2008 Top 10 Beaches Contest sponsored by the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium.

Points of interest include: Cape May Canal, Cape May Harbor, Daveys Lake, Diamond Beach, Higbee Beach, Jarvis Sound, Sewell Point, Sunset Beach, Swain Channel, and Two Mile Beach.

    Features:

    • Chart Location: Cape May, New Jersey
    • Material: Baltic Birch
    • Dimensions: 16" x 20"
    • Ready to hang solid-wood frame with quality acrylic dust cover
    • Intricate detail

Starting with a bathymetric chart (the underwater equivalent of a topographic map), Wood Charts uses laser-cutters to carve the contours into sheets of Baltic birch and glue them together to create a powerful visual depth. They hand stain select layers a blue-green so it's easy to discern land from water, etch major byways into the land, then frame the carving in a custom, solid-wood frame protected with a sheet of durable, ultra-transparent acrylic and ready to hang.
