    • Though manufactured with semiconductor technology, they also operate on the resistive principle
    • A piezoelectric sensor, measures changes in pressure, and force by converting them into electrical charge
    • This generated piezoelectricity is proportional to the pressure applied to the solid piezoelectric crystal materials
    • A Piezoresistive Pressure Sensor contains several thin wafers of silicon embedded between protective surfaces
