Skipper Bob - The Great Circle Route
SBGCR

The Skipper Bob – The Great Circle Route is an experienced and informative guide to the 5,000 plus miles of the Great Circle. If you cruise long enough, someone will ask if you have completed the Great Loop.
The Great Loop is completed almost entirely in protected waters. You can start anywhere on the loop, but many boaters begin the journey in Florida in the spring. This guide is written from that perspective. The Great Loop is an amazing experience, if you do it all at once or do it in smaller segments over several years. The chapters are organized geographically and offers helpful information all along the way.
Skipper Bob and his wife Elaine cruised over 44,000 miles while living aboard both a trawler and a sailboat. They traveled Up and down the Intracoastal Waterway several times, completed the Great Loom Rout, explored the NY Canal Systems, the Trent-Severn, Rideau and Richelieu Canals, Georgian Bay and the North Channel. They cruised up the Ohio River to Pittsburg and visited the National Park in the Dry Tortugas. Now in its 15th edition, this guide and the whole series of guides have helped new and experienced cruisers get the most cruising for themselves.
