They don't last longer than 2 or 3 years
I bought mine in 2016. By 2018 they stopped working. I oiled the fan with very expensive clock oil and changed the battery. It lasted a little longer but not useful. I liked it in the beginning but they don't offer replacement motors so it is now a very expensive nothing.

Same as other reviews. I’ve purchased two. Neither lasted more than two years. Battery not replaceable and they start squeaking as the tiny fan motor wears out. Neighbor thought my boat was going to catch on fire. $10 per month seems too steep. If they can make ceiling fans last decades, surely can do better than this.

Can't give this zero stars, so...
I replaced a very old Marinco solar vent fan that worked for many years with this version. This fan probably worked fine for a week or so. Then I noticed that I had to flip the switch in the mornings to get it to come on. I thought it was the battery running low overnight. Nope. After months of doing this every morning, I covered the solar panel one night and in the morning flipped the switch to start the fan, and it ran for a few hours with the solar panel covered. It had a charged battery but for some reason, just randomly (but every day) is not working. I would not recommend this fan and would give it zero stars if that was possible.
