Kover Klamps Color Code Frame Labeling System
CCS 500

Features:
- After the frame is fabricated the first time, reassembly each year is extremely easy with the use of the Kover Klamps Color Code System (Supplied with each kit)
- The Color Code System gives each part of a specific location, a color and number
- Storage of the frame is easy and space saving, since all parts that are shaped alike, such as the ribs, and rib legs, etc., they can be labeled and bundled together and neatly stored for the next season
Installation Instructions:
Frames for Outboards and I/O Runabouts:
1. Assemble a centerline ridgepole bow to stern
2. Extend tubing end-to-end with couplings as needed
3. Attach ridgepole ends to bow and stern pulpits with Kover Klamps
4. Support ridgepole vertically with short lengths, using rubber tips to prevent chafing deck
5. Use rubber tips at ends or rest on deck, using Kover Klamps to attach to rails or stanchions
6. Use extra rib leg to raise ribs above windshield
Frames for Sailboats:
1. Assemble a centerline ridgepole, bow to stern
2. Extend tubing end-to-end with couplings as needed
3. Attach ridgepole ends to bow and stern pulpits with Kover Klamps
4. Support ridgepole vertically with short lengths, using rubber tips to prevent chafing deck
5. Bend 10-foot lengths of tubing in the center to desired angle to create ribs and attach to rails or stanchions with Kover Klamps
6. Attach ribs to ridgepole with Kover Klamps
7. Extend ribs downward to deck with short lengths of tubing, using rubber tips to prevent chafing
8. Create "pocket braces" with longitudinal lengths of tubing on either side of ridge to prevent cover from sagging between the ribs
Frames for Cruisers:
1. Assemble a centerline ridgepole, bow to stern
2. Extend tubing end-to-end with couplings as needed
3. Use tubing bender to contour the ridgepole over the windshield and flybridge. as well as cabin
4. Attach ridgepole ends to bow and stern pulpits with Kover Klamps
5. Support ridgepole vertically with short lengths, using rubber tips to prevent chafing deck
6. Bend 10-foot lengths of tubing in the center to the desired angle; Klamp ribs to ridgepole, spacing ribs evenly every 4 to 5 ft
7. Stanchions will indicate how many ribs to create
8. Extend ribs downward to deck with short lengths of tubing, using rubber tips to prevent chafing
9. Create "pocket braces' with longitudinal lengths of tubing on either side of ridge to prevent cover from sagging between the ribs
