What is the difference between the mount of the 1181 and the 1184? I know 84 is for vertical mount, but can 81 be used for that as well?

Asked by: Tad395
Hello, The mounting base on the 1181 is oriented left to right vs fore and aft on the 1184. I attached a image of the mounting instructions for both(they are on the same sheet). The main concern in mounting is that the orientation and position of the light meets the USCG requirements.
