Description
Don't tear out the old hatch because the lens is cracked. The Lewmar Low Profile Series Replacement Hatch Lens is a replacement gray lens and seal for friction lever Lewmar MK2 low profile series hatches. The lens comes with the gasket and handles already installed.

2004 Perfect on Beneteau 423
Fits perfectly on 2004 Bene 423, forward salon hatches. Simply remove the existing hatch lid and loosen the set screws to separate the frame halves, re-insert, install, and done. 15m job.

Nice, easy replacement.
This hatch came in a box that was in rough shape and the protective film on the hatch was partially removed but luckly there was no damage or scratches. I was able to replace the hatch lens in about an hour. It was helpful to use Patrolium jelly to lubricate the rubber gasket, allowing the metal pieces to slide on without issue. I also used some woodworking bar clamps to help bring the pieces together so I could reinstall the screws. This resolved the issue with the leaking hatch and I like the smoke color vs. the purple tint that the old hatch had. I think I am going to replace the #10 hatches too since I prefer that smoke tint.

Lewmar Hatch Lens Replacement
I needed to call Lewmar directly to ensure I got the exact replacement part (as there are a lot of variations) but once I did that, Defender got my the replacement for two hatches within a week and only took a couple of hours to do both. Great fit, no leaks!

Easy and perfect replacement lens
The forward hatch on my 2002 Hunter 326 was severely crazed to the point that it looked light grey and opaque. Almost like little 1/8” and 1/16” squares. I was becoming worried that I’d never find the replacement because online info made it sound as though there were a lot of different lens replacements for low profile, normal profile, Ocean series, etc. Defender made it sound less complex. I ended up buying the series 60 Lewmar lens with gasket. Removal, cleaning and replacement took one hour, and it looks fantastic! I could probably do a second one in half that time. So I’ve just ordered the two size 10 hatches and look forward to takingg gg a few years off of my boats looks. I wish it was that easy to reduce my age appearance!

Perfect retrofit !!
Came with everything for a simple replacement. Youtube has some Lawmar's Tech tips from their team, demonstrating how easy it is to replace. Just one missing point: only after suffering in pain on the first hatch, we figure out the need to lube the gasket with silicon (we sprayed) to make it much, a lot much, easier to insert on the frame ... not shown on videos. Once you do the first one, it's a 15 minutes job.

Questions
I have a low profile 60 with a stay and looking for a replacement glass with seals and locking handles…….do you sell them?
The stay is usually an add-on. Some of the larger hatches come with the stay but they can be added to any of the low profile hatches. From that I deduce the replacement lens should accommodate a stay transfer.

How easy is it to replace the size 60 lens ?
Not difficult, must closely follow the instruction and watch the video.
